The 240hz XB253Q has 2 HDMI 2.0 ports, anybody know if this works for 1080p 120hz on the new Xbox?

I read some monitors even with the newer HDMI ports don't work with it.

Most of the time, it usually works if the HDMI is specc'd to a Hz at least that much -- the problem with it not working is usually a firmware bug that should be ideally fixed by the monitor vendor. Clearly, some vendors have tested with PCs but not with newer consoles.

Some monitors include firmware updates that fixes incompatibility. Samsung did this for their CHG series to make them 120Hz XBox FreeSync compatible, so contact your vendor to complain to them about it -- and they may offer you a firmware update.

Not planning on getting an Xbox anytime soon, currently trying to get a cheap i7 9700 :D , I was just wondering.

I know my old monitor (XB252Q) the HDMI was a separate scaler and only did 60hz and higher lag, it basically worked like it was a TV.
