240hz vs 360hz (upcoming models) price vs performance

High Hz on OLED produce excellent strobeless motion blur reduction with fast GtG pixel response. It is easier to tell apart 60Hz vs 120Hz vs 240Hz on OLED than LCD, and more visible to mainstream. Includes WOLED and QD-OLED displays.

240hz vs 360hz (upcoming models) price vs performance

Post by Depo » 24 Nov 2023, 07:33

Hi all,

So the black friday sales are on and I'm in two minds regarding whether to wait out for the new 360hz models in Jan or to purchase the ASUS PG27AQDM which is on sale for €900.

For reference I mainly play battlefield quite competitively, where I can hit on average 300 to 350fps (Rtx 4090 with Ryzen 9 7950x on low setttings).

With that in mind and the fact I won't hit 360fps atleast not constantly in this game which monitor would you choose? It's tough as I sit well above the 240fps but not over the 360fps...

Thanks in advance.

I'd wait, I dont think the new models are going to break the $1000 ceiling. The AW3424DW launched at around that price, and by now it looks very outdated compared to next year's OLEDs.
If you cant stretch your budget, keep on the lookout for open box, I've seen people getting the LG 240hz OLED for less than $700.
