ICC Profile to fix crimson hue

Ask about motion blur reduction in gaming monitors. Includes ULMB (Ultra Low Motion Blur), NVIDIA LightBoost, ASUS ELMB, BenQ/Zowie DyAc, Turbo240, ToastyX Strobelight, etc.

ICC Profile to fix crimson hue

Post by supermote » 23 Jun 2014, 02:25

I am looking for an ICC profile that addresses the crimson or purple hue during lightboost mode. Anyone has one?

It is very difficult to adjust the purple hue in LightBoost, but there is at least one .icc calibrated to LightBoost in NCX's review of VG248QE. Easiest way to do by hand, is to reduce Contrast by a large amount (e.g. to below 45).

Other newer strobe technologies such as ULMB, Turbo240 and BENQ Blur Reduction, have a much better picture, and do not have LightBoost' crimson tint. See the Official 120Hz+ Monitor List.
