With version 4 firmware installed and the new AMA high toggle mode used, 2411z, and 2420z and 2720z (2720z does not need this toggle on v4) perform to equal or better than lightboost, if a vertical total 1500 tweak is used. V2 firmware is worse than V4. The overdrive is too excessive.
So if you were buying a 24" monitor and money wasn't an issue the BenQ XL2430T would be the way to go?

Yeah. The 2430T has the V4 firmware tweaks (From the older Z series) for overdrive/ghosting by default, so its calibrated similarly to the XL2720Z's V4 firmware. worth it.
