I hate these blurred lines

Ask about motion blur reduction in gaming monitors. Includes ULMB (Ultra Low Motion Blur), NVIDIA LightBoost, ASUS ELMB, BenQ/Zowie DyAc, Turbo240, ToastyX Strobelight, etc.

I hate these blurred lines

I have these blurry lines around the edges of objects and persons ingame. You see them when i move my camera around. I got a Acer GN246HL monitor connected to a NVIDIA MSI GTX 970. My monitor schould support lightboost but i cant enable it trough the settings. I have this problems for years now and its driving me mad. The blur is less noticeable compared to my previous Saphire 7950 boost card but its still bothering me. I have tried changing the NVIDIA settings but nothing seems to help. Does somebody have any idea what i can do?

Sounds like overdrive artifacts or too much sharpening, check for those in the menu of your monitor, see if you can lower them.

Someone said they enabled lightboost on an AMD Card with that monitor, just by installing the lightboost refresh rate edits. Don't know how that's possible as lightboost can't be activated without an Nvidia specific driver handshake command.

You have an Nvidia card, so you can try activating lightboost by creating a custom resolution.

For 1080p screens:

1920x1080: 100hz: 1138 vertical total
110hz: 1143 vertical total
120hz: 1149 vertical total
60 hz: 1179 vertical total (double strobe only! It will use 120hz strobing pulses).

1440P I have no idea.
