Acer XG270HU ULMB mode?

Ask about motion blur reduction in gaming monitors. Includes ULMB (Ultra Low Motion Blur), NVIDIA LightBoost, ASUS ELMB, BenQ/Zowie DyAc, Turbo240, ToastyX Strobelight, etc.

Acer XG270HU ULMB mode?

Post by auxy » 26 Jun 2015, 15:52

Is it possible to enable any kind of strobing display or low-motion-blur mode on the XG270HU (the FreeSync version of the XB270HU)?

I have no clue. Sorry.

But i just wanted to correct that its not the "freesync" version of anything. Its a TN panel, which is a completely different story than the IPS the xb270hu has.

No, there's no motion blur reduction of any kind. From the TFTCentral review http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/acer_xg270hu.htm:
Unfortunately there is no Blur Reduction mode available from this screen so you are not able to reduce perceived motion blur further using a strobe backlight. See the relevant section in our BenQ XL2730Z review for an idea of how much blur can be eliminated using a strobe backlight system.

Thanks for the reply! Shame about the lack of blur reduction. ( ;∀;)
