xl2411z Stuck initializing

As the title reads. I've been initializing. I hope I'm not just being impatient but this is now the third time I've restarted the how-to for the LightBoost utility. I've let it run for 30 minutes multiple times. "Initializing display 1...(Pass: xxx) This may take a few minutes." Its climbed to 2000 before I decided to start over. Can someone tell me if something is wrong with this thing for me?

Z series does not support strobelight method for enabling Lightboost mode. You will need an Nvidia card with INF override and 3d vision drivers to unlock lightboost mode.

You can just use blur reduction with a Vertical Total 1500 custom resolution instead (use the pixel clock patcher for AMD/Nvidia).
