XB270H Abprz ULMB corona

Hello Blurbusters! I have the >1ms 27" TN 1080p 144hz XB270H Abprz. When I use ULMB I have ufo coronas (http://www.testufo.com/#test=ghosting). The first 2 coronas look terrible, and I can see a third one. I cannot change the overdrive (overvoltage) settings while my monitor is in ULMB mode. Changing them while in standard mode then switching to ULMB has no effect. The moving photo test (http://www.testufo.com/#test=photo&phot ... 0&height=0) looks amazing in ULMB. I thought ULMB should have no ghosting. Are my results normal?

Somewhat off topic my last monitor was a crt trinitron (aperture grille) dell p1130. I'd run it in 1600x1200@100hz, because vga cables are not capable of 1600x1200@120hz even though the monitor is. It's in pieces because it needs some new capacitors and upgrades. Although 144hz is much smoother looking my old p1130 looked way more solid, and I liked it more for gaming.

edit: I forgot to mention certain greys in ULMB mode have a film grain (maybe pixel walk?) that can be very strong

It was already disabled. I tried changing the overdrive value from 0~255. 100 being normal and 255 being extreme in the options. It had no effect on the corona. The corona would change to ghosting (blue to yellow copy of ufo) for a split second when I increased or decreased the overdrive value.

edit: 0 being off, which I tried first of course

I figured out why my monitor had that horrid film grain effect. In the "Change resolution" tab of the Nvidia Control Panel "Output color depth:" was set to "6 bpc" not "8bpc". This is an 8 bpc monitor. The colors look much better, and the film grain effect is gone. Unfortunately this does not fix the ulmb ghosting even after doing the above steps again.

I still have the ULMB corona if anybody can help me or has any input.

Are there any other G-Sync monitors that are known to have coronas in ULMB mode? I can take a picture with my camera. The coronas are very visible.

All of them do.
The XB270HU (the IPS monitor) has very low amounts at 85hz (better than the ROG Swift) but IPS monitors don't usually push overdrive levels as high as TN panels. So the coronas will be lower. Unfortunately, you can't adjust overdrive intensity on any ULMB monitor; you're stuck with what you are given.

On the old Asus Lightboost monitors (VG248QE/VG278H) you could adjust part of the overdrive gain through the service menu, which worked in Lightboost mode.

I have the TN version of the XB270HU, and I also get REALLY bad coronas in ULMB mode. Even at 85Hz. Tried changing the pulse-width too, and still no help. Such a massive shame. It's completely useless as it stands.
