Strobe light not working?????

Post by justme221 » 26 Mar 2016, 18:16

Hi! I have an asus rog g750jx and a benq xl2411t its connected with a displayport - dvi-d adaptor (i can get 120hz only at 1024 x 768) i tried to install the 120hz , 110hz , 100 hz and its not working after my pc restarts my display wont turn on at all and my nvidia control panel dossent let me select the monitor display.

I got around that by using the custom resolution utility .. i instaled the refresh rate with toastyx and changed the rez from 1920x 1080 120 hz(110hz,100hz) to 1024 x 768 120hz(110hz,100hz) with the custom utility tool i initialized the monitor but the strobelight utility does nothing at all i tried to change the brightness but nothing happens. The display dosent darken at all. It can only change the brightness when strobe is off for some reason.

I tried the thing with stereoscopic 3d override method but it dossent change anything at all,it turns the 3d on the screen flashes has a little bit of lag aaaand nothing happens.

Help pls??

(note :for some reason my xl2411t monitor dossent have any 3d option or light boost or anything on its menus and i cant buy an expensive displayport -dvid usb powered adaptor)

The ones who have a similar problem i managed to get around it with vga cable.
This was done using asus g750jx laptop, vga cable , and the monitor xl2411t.

1.Plug in your vga.. change the rezolution to 1024x768 120hz .

2.Install 120hz 110hz 100hz strobed and 121hz 111hz 101hz non strobed with strobelight setup. Restart your pc.

3.For some reason now in the nvidia control panel when you select 1024x768 you only have 85 hz and below . Change the resolution to 1024x768 85hz.

4.Open strobelight.exe(it will show you that is on now but still not working properly). Now the trick is : in nvidia control panel select the resolution 1920x1080 120hz and dont apply.

5.Put nvidia control panel with the apply button near to "initialize display" in the strobelight beta toastyx options. Now right click the strobelight click initialize display and as fast as possible click apply on nvidia control panel before it initializes.

If done correctly your xl2411t should flash and after that your it will enter in 3d mode. Strobe will be on and working perfectly and if you check the resolutions you will see that the 120hz will be switched to 1024x768.

Enjoy.
