G-Sync and ULMB at the same time is in fact possible!

Ask about motion blur reduction in gaming monitors. Includes ULMB (Ultra Low Motion Blur), NVIDIA LightBoost, ASUS ELMB, BenQ/Zowie DyAc, Turbo240, ToastyX Strobelight, etc.

How about locking a game to 80fps using RTSS, for example? Or playing a 60fps capped game? How do they look?

Actually

The pendulum demo works perfect in 60hz to 120hz

So it seems it might be battlefield issue or RTTS that I do quick framerate limiting with

In pendulum it is absolutley perfect

tried no fps limiting

And it was running constant 120fps, but I felt the input lag
So I highered up the resolution in resolution scale setting to 150% which is 4k res, and it was then fluctuating between 110-120 again and was getting the same issue again :(

So yea ULMB + Gsync is not for me at least. will wait for a real solution unless the dell is different then I can imagine buying that screen if it works perfect.

If you do have Battlefield 1 would you mind testing this for me?

Kandor

I don't have that game (for the most part, I don't buy games that aren't on Steam or GOG). And for me, if the monitor is constantly hitting the G-Sync limit and having drops all the time, it's a bit flickery.

Ok

Seems thats the issue for me plus that maybe I am too sensitive
Whats weird is that the pendulum demo is absolutley flawless
Anyway thanks

Great :D . If you are sensitive, this mode will be better in games that have very good frametimes and if you cap the fps to a number that is lower than the G-Sync limit unless you can confidently hit it all the time.

So for now, Dell S2716DG, Dell S2417DG and Acer XB271HU are confirmed. The S2417DG user has to check if the monitor is strobing too between 120Hz and 165Hz, because that user said that the monitor overclocking capabilities were available and enabled in the monitor OSD.

Awesome. Then it's safe to guess that any G-Sync monitor that has ULMB is compatible, and we aren't in a so great hurry to make Nvidia acknowledge it and make it official later (still, it will be good if they say something about this).

I would like to see one that never flickers like ours do
Hence as soon as they release that I will 100% be a customer even if it costs $3k
But not much more than that :)
