G-Sync and ULMB at the same time is in fact possible!

Ask about motion blur reduction in gaming monitors. Includes ULMB (Ultra Low Motion Blur), NVIDIA LightBoost, ASUS ELMB, BenQ/Zowie DyAc, Turbo240, ToastyX Strobelight, etc.

Thanks for the video.
Yeah you are supposed to have the always option there. Because then if you switched to 1920x1080@60hz for instance, you would maintain lightboost but it would be double strobed.
I think I should let masterotaku reply because I don't even have a gsync monitor to even test to begin with.

What I'm REALLY surprised about is that you don't have the option on the CLASSIC scalar, when you should have it on the classic scalar.
May I ask you 1 question?
if you use the classic scalar, do you actually get lightboost working at 120hz with the Vertical Total 1149, or 100hz with VT 1138, etc?

If you do, the only thing I could even suggest is uninstalling the driver with Wagnard's Display Driver Uninstaller, (uninstall main driver first, reboot to windows safe mode, run DDU in safe mode, reboot again, reinstall display driver).

Maybe try a different driver version after using DDU(?)

Did you ever install the "3d vision emulator.zip" file?

Falkentyne, Lighboost is only enforced with the "always" option at 100Hz and 120Hz. At other refresh rates, it doesn't work like that (it forces 120Hz when you start a game).

This is the same for me, it doesn't double strobe or strobe at all at 60hz.

Oh god, the classic scalar looks so ugly specially with lightboost on, everything is washed out and the only thing you can change is brightness (3D LightBoost) or contrast...

Yes it works.

I'll give it a go! :)

I think that having the 3D Vision 2 kit is necessary. The options of when to apply 3D (which enabled Lightboost) need the emitter to appear. I don't know why I didn't think about that before.

I hope somebody posts here with results: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topi ... any-hope-/

That's why using a USB emulator to simulate the emitter might work, but i can't get bloody thing to work...

everytime i run enablestereo the box pops up but it doesn't do anything or create a device in the control panel unlike the over videos/pics i've seen...

AHH so frustrating...

Yes, I have 3d emulator driver installed but I haven't run it in ages. I installed it a long time ago.
Is that why I have the 'always' option?

Note: I know for a fact that Nvidia drivers higher than the early 300.xx series stopped the 3d vision emulator from working by blocking it.
I have the 314.14 drivers installed on the laptop. I don't know if that is too high a driver or not for the emulator.
And I can choose '3d vision discover' and If I do the EDID thing, then also the asus 3d 120hz lcd.

Also btw, the vg278h has an integrated 3d emitter. That's why the product id works.

Um lex

try this
I did this a LONG time ago. this was part of the blurbusters how to:

---------------

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\Stereo3D]
@=""
"EnableWindowedMode"=dword:00000005
"StereoVisionConfirmed"=dword:00000001
"StereoTypeSet"=dword:00000001
"EnablePersistentStereoDesktop"=dword:00000001
"StereoRefreshDefaultOn"=dword:00000000

Ah, that's clever.

>reg edit

That's pretty much the same as that "Advanced 3D Vision Configuration" program mastertaco was talking about. I realize now that the "StereoVisionConfirmed" option does work but it doesn't do anything more then me just using the "Discover glasses" option to skip the setup.

I don't get any more options and it doesn't turn on lightboost if i use. If i do the "Test stereoscopic 3D" i just get the classic red and green 3D...

They REALLY didn't want people messing with their lightboost lol.

Isn't this the option ?

"EnablePersistentStereoDesktop"=dword:00000001

Na, it doesn't do anything for me. I can restart the driver and computer and "EnablePersistentStereoDesktop" will still be 1 but lightboost doesn't turn on.
