30fps at 60Hz LCD vs 30fps at 120Hz + Lightboost (or ULMB)
30fps at 60Hz LCD vs 30fps at 120Hz + Lightboost (or ULMB)
Hi ! Sorry for my bad English. I have a question - what will be looks better ? 30fps at 60Hz LCD or 30fps at 85/120Hz + ULMB (or lightboost) ?

30fps at 60Hz LCD will look better.
Monitor: Gigabyte M27Q X

30fps at 60hz will have motion blur whenever your eyes track a moving object. You'll see the object blurred across the distance your eye moves between frames.
30fps at 120hz with lightboost will have strobe artifacts whenever your eyes track a moving object. You'll see several (4) images of the object your eyes are tracking, that correspond to the distance your eyes move in 1/120 of a second(8.3ms). It will be easier to see what the object you're tracking looks like.
I don't recommend 30fps at 85hz. You'll get judder because 85 isn't a multiple of 30.

30fps at 120Hz LightBoost will produce a 4-image trail effect.
Strobing really looks best when framerate matches refreshrate matches stroberate (e.g. 120fps @ 120Hz). It's also why Oculus VR is frame locked to 90fps @ 90Hz (OLED strobe rate = refresh rate).
