Motion blur eliminating strobe backlights found in gaming monitors. This includes NVIDIA LightBoost, Ultra Low Motion Blur (ULMB), EIZO Turbo240, ToastyX Strobelight utility, etc.
I've never heard of motion blur on the Vive until this thought out video (start at 24:40)
Considering the brightness difference between the Vive/Rift, my theory is Vive does not use strobing.
But I would be surprised. Just wanted to see what you guys think.

the answer might be late a bit
but both the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift use strobing at 90hz
