Do any monitors have Lightboost/ULMB at refresh rates > 120?

Ask about motion blur reduction in gaming monitors. Includes ULMB (Ultra Low Motion Blur), NVIDIA LightBoost, ASUS ELMB, BenQ/Zowie DyAc, Turbo240, ToastyX Strobelight, etc.

And do all the newer implementations (ULMB, etc) have a brighter picture than the old Lightboost method?

I have an Acer GN246HL and my two major complaints are the darkness and being limited to 120Hz. My mouse feels different. I don't know if it's the slower refresh rate or perhaps input lag from Lightboost/Strobelight mode. I figure a monitor which can do ULMB at 144 would work better for me.

Any ideas?

Yes...

--> Currently, all 240Hz GSYNC monitors have 144Hz ULMB
--> All BenQ/Zowie 240hz monitors have 240Hz ULMB/DyAc which can look good at ~180Hz using the reduced strobe crosstalk tweak.

Monitors Capable Of Good 144Hz+ Strobe Quality
- Acer Predator XB272 -- 27" 240Hz monitor with 144Hz ULMB
- Acer Predator XB252Q -- 24" 240Hz monitor with 144Hz ULMB
- ASUS ROG PG258Q -- 24" 240Hz monitor with 144Hz ULMB
- BenQ Zowie XL2540 -- 24" 240Hz monitor with up to 240Hz Blur Reduction
- BenQ Zowie XL2546 -- 24" 240Hz monitor with up to 240Hz "DyAc" Blur Reduction

ULMB is much easier and very well pre-calibrated by NVIDIA. That said, the BenQ/Zowie monitors have very adjustable Blur Reduction and are compatible with Blur Busters Strobe Utility. Keep in mind that strobe crosstalk can be very bad at 240Hz until you reduce refresh rate -- and spend about 1 hour calibrating it a bit -- using a custom refresh rate and a Large Vertical Total tweak. Generally, strobe crosstalk can get really bad above ~144Hz-180Hz depending on model. Quality of 144Hz strobing (at best adjustments) is very roughly similar. There is also a new TestUFO Strobe Crosstalk test for easier testing.

That said, you can still get pretty good looking Blur Reduction well above 120Hz with all the above monitors.

Omg! 240Hz strobe lighting... Wish I could see that in person :P

What's the difference between DyAc and normal BenQ Blur Reduction?

There is also a new TestUFO Strobe Crosstalk test for easier testing.
So on my Acer GN246HL @ 120Hz strobed, it looks like the top bands (4 rows) have some crosstalk towards the front (right side) of the UFO (this is 'bad strobe crosstalk' on your link) and on the bottom of my screen (5 rows), it appears behind (left side, trailing) of the UFO (this is the 'average strobe crosstalk' from your link). The middle 1/3rd (about 6 of 15 total rows) is clear (above average or none). I can't really notice it while gaming (the dim lighting helps, lol).

I guess just an FYI for anyone wondering about strobe crosstalk on the GN246HL.
