Acer XB270HA 27" 1080p 144hz

Talk about NVIDIA G-SYNC, a variable refresh rate (VRR) technology. G-SYNC eliminates stutters, tearing, and reduces input lag. List of G-SYNC Monitors.

Just posting an update.

Monitor is working great and have encountered very few problems. Only problem I have had was gsync once stopped being recognized by nv control panel. Unplugged and replugged monitor and it fixed the problem. These seems to be a problem with all gsync monitors though. 144hz is great but now I feel that 60 fps is the new 30 fps. It just feels so slow after playing at 144 fps.

That looks extremely similar to my problem with 3D Vision. If I play something in 3D (3D photos, games, or whatever that turns on the glasses), at the next reboot I can't enable 3D Vision 2 (3D Discover appears as the only option) until I unplug and replug the 3D emitter.

Just got mine a couple of days ago. Coming from an older cheap Philips 60 Hz gaming monitor with so so colors and viewing angles.
Have to say I am not blown away by the monitor, was expecting lots more.
144Hz and G-sync works really nicely but the effect is more subtle than I anticipated. My issue is not with them though.
First the menu-system does not seem to retain settings properly. The default image settings are atrocious.
But the biggest issue is that the screen looks pretty bad, not better than my old shit Philips monitor.
Have tried to set it up properly but the backbleed is bad (dark images look grey), colors are a bit washed out and image is actually a bit blurry.
There are not many image settings in the setup menu.
I have seen the Asus ROG 278Q in a store and it is miles and miles better than this. I have also seen the Benq XL2720Z and that was better than this.
I do wonder what panel they have used?

The ULMB mode is very dark.
Running on "Normal" overdrive.

How do other owners feel about it? What settings are you running?

It looks like your GPU sends out a limited range color signal (thanks to nvidia shitty drivers) and your monitor uses full range signal. As the result, image looks washed out. What resolution are you using? If 1080p@60hz then that's the source of the problem.

1920x1080@144 Hz from Geforce 780
Upped the "vibrance" so I got a bit more color but that is not the issue. It just does not look great.
Tried changing refreshrate to 120Hz but not really better.
G-sync in itself is nice but I get the feeling this is basically a pretty crappy panel.
I use the driver and colorprofile from acer for this monitor.

The model I have is actually called XB270H Abprz.

Sounds like Nvidia sending out the wrong color signal to me, I have had this issue with my current HDTV that I am using as a monitor.
I'm bought a the XB270HA the other day and it is being delivered tomorrow. I haven't seen it for myself yet, but I was watching a Linus tech tips vid on the 4K version of the XB270HA, which is exactly the same as the 1080p version and the monitor looks fine in Linus's video.

Sounds like you may be experiencing this prob.
I know that the prob is based on HDMI but it is also happening with DP.

Could very well be? Thanks for the links :)
It shows up as "1920x1080(Native)" though and not "1080p 1920x1080(Native)".
Just curious as to what settings other users prefer.
I have it currently on "User" but the monitor has a tendency to not retain settings and changes it to "Standard" also not retaining colortemp and brighness values.
G-sync and high framerate does look nice so I am happy with that part.

Well my XB270HA was delivered today, its no IPS but it isn't too bad. Better for gaming than anything else, but gaming is the main reason I bought it anyway.

I found these Nvidia control panel settings to be the best so far. Only setting I have change on the monitor itself is the color temp from warm to normal.
