I've done some personal testing on my Dell AW2723DF g-sync compatible monitor. I don't have the appropriate equipment to confirm my findings but it feels to me that when I enable G-Sync with V-sync, there is additional input lag with DSC enabled and running the display at 280hz 10bit.
Again, I cannot confirm with real data but games feel noticeably smoother and more responsive when I completely disable DSC and run the monitor at 240hz 8bit.
I would imagine with the new 360hz (through DSC) 1440p oled monitors this would be a broader issue users would be reporting but I cannot find any forum post reporting this.
Can anybody confirm or deny my claims?
G-sync+V-sync on DSC enabled displays (input lag)
Re: G-sync+V-sync on DSC enabled displays (input lag)
Are you correctly limiting your FPS to prevent vsync? Without that, you will get vsync lag.
