Dell S2716DG Ghosting Issue - Advice?

I have a Dell S2716DG at 2560x1440 running at 144 Hz with G-Sync on. When I'm in the desktop and I scrolling through a window or webpage I see some ghosting (trail behind the movement) of the text and images. I also see it when I move open windows. I don't seem to notice it while gaming. Changing the resolution or refresh rate doesn't seem to get rid of it. I can't seem to find any settings in Windows/NVIDIA to fix the issue. Is it a hardware issue with the monitor or videocard? Interference on the Displayport cable? Any advice and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

EDIT: I did notice it during gaming when I focused on it.

What you need to change is your overdrive setting.

Change 'Response Times' in your monitors OSD from Fast to Normal and that should fix your issue.

If you want more information on this you can click here and scroll down to response times and gaming http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/dell_s2716dg.htm

Unfortunately my response time was already set to Normal.

EDIT: To clarify I tried fast as well and the ghosting was still there. I've attached a photo of what I'm seeing. Taken at a shutter speed of 1/500.

I know this is a super late reply, and I don't even know if you still use this website, but I had your exact same issue with the same monitor that you had. After troubleshooting everything, I could not find a single thing wrong with either the monitor or my display settings. However, after maybe a week of research and an endless amount of trial & error, I came up with the idea that it could be because my video card was too outdated or underpowered (which was my last thought, since my GTX 760 is just about 3 years old). After purchasing a GTX 1070 though (and I heard this also works with the 970+ series as well), the issues I had before were almost non-existent. This, and spending an hour configuring my display colors has helped a ton.

I made an account on here just so I could point this out and hopefully help others who may stumble upon this issue.

What might of fixed it is that you started you use the Display Port (G-Sync) port.

G-Sync port fixed most of my Overdrive issues on my monitor.

At this photo it looks as very aggressive overdrive.
Did you try to reset all monitor settings & reinstall nvidia drivers with "Perform a clean installation"?
Did disabling g-sync at nvidia control panel help?
Did you try your monitor with other PC?

Good catch.
Yes, switching ports can affect things drastically. But I question the QA of any monitor that has ridiculous ghosting over DVI and looks flawless over displayport. I mean, do people actually test their hardware to make sure something like this isn't busted, before they release it on the market?

I get this on displayport also, I had a A02 and it was pretty bad. RMAed and Got a A03 revision. It happened less but its still there.

From this thread, is it still the verdict that this monitor can do G-Sync WITH blur reduction?

I'm on GTX 980 and will use whatever cable you tell me. :)

Are custom files required/available to get it running? If I order one and it depends on model, how can I check first?

Wait, why did you reply to this thread? this thread doesn't have anything to do with the G-Sync + ULMB thread.

From the looks of it, you need windows 7 plus the Nvidia 3D glasses emitter plugged in, you can probably skip the 3D emitter step if you spoof your monitors ID but i'm not sure if anyone has tested it. You can get pretty much everything you need to know in that thread.
