Questions about new G-Sync monitor

Talk about NVIDIA G-SYNC, a variable refresh rate (VRR) technology. G-SYNC eliminates stutters, tearing, and reduces input lag.

Thanks for the video parini.

I see a couple of brightness fluctuation across the whole screen at the 0:16 mark, is that what you're talking about? I'm assuming this doesn't happen with G-SYNC off?

If so, I'm not sure what that is.

With gsync turned off, this does not happen.

What is your framerate when this happens?

Also, do you have "Dark Boost" or "Adaptive Contrast" enabled in the monitor menus? If you do, try disabling those.

In your monitor menu, here's an image from the manual (ignore the brightness and contrast numbers):

If you disabled both of those, and you were at 100 FPS when that happened in the video, I don't know what it is.

G-SYNC can flicker at low framerates (30 FPS or under) on some TN panels, but the brightness doesn't fluctuate like your video.

It could be your monitor. I would not go so far as to say it is faulty or broken though.

Have you contacted Acer and shown them the issue?
