Alright, novice here so please bear with me.
Got the Sony 55w800b hooked up to my computer running a MSI GTX 970. Turned off DSR and went into the "create custom resolution" section and used the test function on 1920x1080 at 120hz and 75hz on all 4 of the TVs HDMI inputs. Each time I got an "unsupported signal, check your device output" message. I have to admit I'm bummed, but I don't want to give up yet. I wanted to ask, would Toasty X/EDID do anything different? I don't mind fiddling with them, but if it's a definitive "no" I won't waste my time. Also, anything else I should try? Would really like this to be an overclocking success story!
On a related note (keeping in mind, new guy) if I do manage to find that magic combo, is there a way to make custom 120hz and DSR play nice with each other?
Sony Bravia [overclocking / Motionflow]
Talk about overclocking displays at a higher refresh rate. This includes homebrew, 165Hz, QNIX, Catleap, Overlord Tempest, SEIKI displays, certain HDTVs, and other overclockable displays.
