Dell Latitude D800 1920x1200@185Hz

Talk about overclocking displays at a higher refresh rate. This includes homebrew, 165Hz, QNIX, Catleap, Overlord Tempest, SEIKI displays, certain HDTVs, and other overclockable displays.

Stable 1920x1200 32-bit 185 Hz

Can only check this with Refresh Rate Multitool, not because the browser tools fail, but because the Pentium M can't cope with the browser's resource demand (cpu à la 2004).

The LCD in question is a Sharp LQ154M1LW02, a 15.4" TN, build april 2003 (...).

Ok, what's the point ... thing gets freaky hot, power draw is insane and a 1 fps on, say, GTA V would be an amazing score  . The 90Hz is nice enough, though.

image link isn't working. Looks like you need to be registered and logged into the techinferno forums to see it.

Hello,
Cool -- very similiar to this thread: Successful Overclock Laptop LCD 60Hz -> 180Hz

I'm interested in seeing the image -- it's not accessible to non-members of TechInferno.
Can you reupload the image to somewhere else public such as imgur, etc?

Changed image url. And neat thread, unfortunately the specific lcd model isn't mentioned, it seems?

The Sharp's "Made in Japan" ... Though perhaps it's not just the TN, but also the CCFL backlight (as opposed to WLED) that yields so much leeway. If it's both TN and CCFL, there's not much to choose from for a laptop upgrade; the best you could hope for are a few 17.1" FHD's by LG (all discontinued). Won't fit a 17.3" straight away, but a few spacers and a wider bezel is not that difficult a mod. Just TN is easier; there are still plenty of 17.3" FHD WLED's, with older LVDS and newer eDP connectors alike.

Perhaps something for laptop lcd's akin to the "List of 120Hz Monitors" might be useful?
