Are there receivers known to passthrough 120hz?

Talk about overclocking displays at a higher refresh rate. This includes homebrew, 165Hz, QNIX, Catleap, Overlord Tempest, SEIKI displays, certain HDTVs, and other overclockable displays.

Or is a splitter required?

I would like to overclock a TV but am worried about getting my audio to my receiver. The only other thought I had would be to split the HDMI and send one to the receiver and one to the TV(on a different input). This way I would have to mute the TV audio but use the input coming from the PC directly and not the receiver. That would be an annoying step but would hopefully solve my issue.... unless the splitter would be a problem? But from what I recall, splitters do not alter the signal at all?

Anyway, a receiver that is known to passthrough 120hz would be great, but I am thinking since 120hz is not in any current HDMI spec, this might not work.

Thoughts?
