Benq xl2411z out of range

Talk about overclocking displays at a higher refresh rate. This includes homebrew, 165Hz, QNIX, Catleap, Overlord Tempest, SEIKI displays, certain HDTVs, and other overclockable displays.

Benq xl2411z out of range

Post by Dego » 02 Feb 2015, 08:00

I'm using a costum resolution for cs:go 1440*1080@144hz. I have just updated my ATI drivers and created the costum resolution that I use now when I go to cs my monitor goes "out of range" . If I alt+tab to win and back to cs or maybe 2 or 3 times then it works. Before the driver update it worked good. I've installed back to old drivers but the problem is the same...

You can't use STANDARD timings for any 144 hz refresh rate.
144 hz is not a standard refresh rate and isn't included in any official specifications.
Try creating a 1920x1080 144 hz refresh rate with automatic or standard manual timings--it will go out of range.

144 hz requires CVT reduced blank/LCD reduced (in CRU) timings.

Also notice that you can't use "display scaling" at any 144 hz refresh rate (scaling by monitor OSD "display mode" settings will be unavailable). The "monitor size" settings in "display mode" also become inactive and greyed out at 144 hz.

I would suggest making a 120hz 1440x1080 detailed resolution instead.
Then you can use monitor OSD scaling at 120hz to select 1:1 or aspect in the OSD, and since 1440x1080 then gets added for all refresh rates (since you created the detailed 120hz one), you can then use GPU scaling (this is automatic btw) to use the video card drivers to select 1:1 or aspect at 100 hz.

And why did it work no problem before I wanted to upgrade my drivers?

Just solved the problem.

I've uninstalled drivers again...And reinstalled new ones, created costum resolution, and enabled GPU scaling in driver options. Now it works 1440*1080@144hz.
