U2311H overclocking in portrait

Talk about overclocking displays at a higher refresh rate. This includes homebrew, 165Hz, QNIX, Catleap, Overlord Tempest, SEIKI displays, certain HDTVs, and other overclockable displays.

U2311H overclocking in portrait

Post by Wijkert » 21 Feb 2015, 04:45

Hi guys, I would like to overclock my U2311H that is in portrait mode using the Nvidia control panel. In landscape it goes up to 71 Hz. The test works and the custom resolution can be applied. In portrait using automatic timings the test works as well, but the custom resolution is no wear to be found. Looking at the grayed out numbers in the timings box, it seems that the wrong numbers are selected. I assume that this is the problem, although I would aspect that the test would fail and it doesn't :?: . Manually changing the active pixels, front porch, sync width, total pixels and polarity so horizontal is vertical and vise versa, resulted in either the test failing or even a display driver crash.

Any help would be appreciated.
