Benq BL2420PT overclockability?

searched the net and found no info about overclocking this monitor, its a 1440p 60Hz IPS for those who dont know.

I decided to buy this over the Dell P2416D because shockingly the dell is only 6 bit dithered the monitors are otherwise identical in specs and price.

the Dell however has reports of achieving a 75Hz overclock, so naturally Id like to know what the BenQ is capable of.

Im little worried that the dithering and lower colour depth is allowing the Dell to more easily overclock but who knows, not sure if 25% is a higher than average overclock for a non-gaming oriented monitor

most monitors don't allow overclock.

Seriously your monitor might be 6bit also.

But yea, just overclock it. Most Benq 60hz can reach 75-80 before they complain.

I double checked this and Benq has 8 bit and 16.7 million colours listed in the official specs. Dell conveniently only has '16.7 million colours' listed and it was a review that pointed out it was only 6 bit (they probably noticed the dithering).
They are the exact same price and the Benq even has some speakers so it is quite odd...

also thanks for informing me about benqs, I guess 'most monitors' doesn't include most benqs
