XL2540 240hz - DVI-D works!

Hello all!

Long story short - I prefer to use DVI-D over Displayport or HDMI. I have a BenQ 2540 and I was curious as to what the limits of overclocking would be via DVI-D. I have so far run 180hz 1570VT and 240hz 1200VT over DVI-D. I will admit I'm somewhat new to this process still and I am trying to figure out the dangers of running these sorts of refresh rates over DVI.

I have checked for frame skipping and everything seems to be fine.

Is there anything I should be keeping a eye out for?

p.s. I should add I have been running 240hz over DP but after switching to my 2720z over DVI-D @ 144hz. Everything felt more crisp even though the picture comparison was awful.

240Hz via VT1200 is pretty good!

That's enough bandwidth to overclock to 250Hz (e.g. Quake Live).

I think you're already hitting DVI-D overclocking limits already with that -- if you're managing 1080p VT1200 at 240Hz over DVI-D!

So you're indeed confirming 240Hz works over DVI-D on the BenQ/Zowie XL2540. That's great to hear that overclocked DVI-D works on the XL2540!
