Impressive. 1440P at a decent strobing refresh is what I've been waiting for with Oculus. Hopefully it doesn't take forever to come to market.

Hell yeah. I kinda hoped that we could get more than 60fps, but the strobing will help I suppose. OLED is aewsome too.

MAybe we can overclock the displays? I at least have to try.

It's 90 hz, and they're already being driven about as fast as they can be over HDMI 1.4. Believe me, they're "overclocked" to the max already.

Typo there, I meant 90. after spending so much time at 144, going to 60 is jarring. Maybe 90 will be less so.

It's 90 hz low persistence OLED so that's pretty good. It'll look better than an LCD at 144 hz.

You run ULMB at 120 hz with with around 2m persistence and probably around 10-15 ms latency. The OR screen runs at 90 hz with similar persistence but still lower latency.

Though, besides, the comparison isn't really apt because the viewing conditions are so different. 1440p at a few cm away from your eyes taking up 90 degrees of your field of view is quite different than 1440p taking up maybe 60 degrees of your FOV at the very extreme. The quality will be lower than you expect, but not for the reasons you were concerned about earlier.
