1. You adjust 1920x1080 60Hz while HDMI is connected to a PC. (But it may be easier to use the Service Menu)
2. Adjust Strobe Utility or Service Menu accordingly (the "Persistence" or "Duty Cycle")
3. Now reconnect monitor back to PS4.

Chief, I'm not sure if persistence and crosstalk will work on the PS4. The output is 60hz, and the XL2730Z is not capable of single strobing at 60hz. On the XL2720Z, if single strobe is off, it ignores the strobe duty and strobe phase settings below 100hz.

The XL2730Z is bugged, so it's possible the settings may still work. At 100hz for example, blur reduction is unusable because it strobes at 120hz timings, causing an out of sync picture (unusable), this was verified in tftcentral's XL2730Z review. Same thing happens at 85hz. So if its using 120hz settings at 60hz, Area and Intensity settings may still work. But if it's using a separate 60hz setting like the XL2720z, XL2420Z and XL2411Z (Single Strobe=off), they may be ignored.

Try it and report back.

Note: XL2735 fixed the broken 100hz setting, and it officially double strobes at 60hz, 75hz and 85hz.
TBH you're not going to get much improvement on the XL2730Z with 60hz double strobed blur reduction. Try it, but for some people, double strobing just looks bad.

We already told you the monitor DOUBLE STROBES at 60hz.
Double strobing looks not much better than no motion blur at all.
Please don't be so pushy and demanding. It's really impolite.

If you wanted good motion blur reduction on a PS4, you would have been better off buying an XL2411Z, XL2420Z (discontinued), XL2430T or XL2720Z, and turning on the "Single Strobe" service menu option. The newer Benq monitors removed this option and will not do good blur reduction at 60hz refresh rate.

Only use motion blur reduction at 120hz and 144hz on this monitor.

Easy both of you....
Readers do need to be patient but we should also be patient back to them too :)

Anyway, back to this, Blur Busters Strobe Utility does not support the BENQ XL2730Z so I would not be able to give you a step-by-step guide on this.

Also, it is true that the XL2730Z double-strobes at 60Hz, and there is no way to bypass this.

Sorry Chief I wasn't trying to be rude. He was literally ignoring what we said and -demanding- help even when we already helped. That put me over the edge.

Let's try it this way.

If you want blur reduction on consoles (that are limited to 60hz output), you either want a CRT or other monitor or device with strobing (CRT's, maybe some plasma TV's), Sony televisions which have motionflow impulse (Sony tech), or several Benq monitors (XL2411Z, XL2420Z, XL2720Z, and XL2430T only; you will need to go into the service menu and enable the "Single Strobe" option, and then set Strobe Phase to 000 (lowest crosstalk, but 1 frame higher input lag), or 100 (more crosstalk at the bottom, but up to 1 frame faster response). This is the only option you have at this present time.
