Cheap display overclockable to 100-120 hz
Hi, I wonder if there is a display with high chances to be able to be overlcocked to those rates. I dont mind other things, like resolution, so its fine if theyre 720p, 900p, etc.
Re: Cheap display overclockable to 100-120 hz
The same for me!
Looking for an internal replacement display. Don't care a lot about resolution (down to 720p or bit less) if I can get a safe OC to ~ 100Hz or higher.
I have a Laptop (Lenovo 700-15ISK), it's 15.2" display is pretty much locked to 60Hz (black screen for any custom resolution with more than 60Hz). So much for that.
I also have a 17.3" HSD173PUW1 display from an old laptop, it doesn't get higher than 69 Hz sadly (display otherwise says "input not supported").
Now I have been on the look to replace these or buy an additional display. For me, I don't care if its 15.2" or 17.3" (because 15.2" I would integrate into my Laptop and 17.2" I would connect to a dedicated LED controller to take the laptop display on the go as an external display).
I wanna share my approch to this, with which I'm finding a lot of 120 Hz factory displays:
The prices (60-100€) seem reasonable but I believe there are some way better priced overclockable candidates. If someone can tell me about a < 50€ display, not 120hz factory but overclockable, I would be very happy.
P.S.: List for external displays: https://www.blurbusters.com/overclock/1 ... -monitors/

I wanna share my approch to this, with which I'm finding a lot of 120 Hz factory displays:
- there are some website/databases online for available displays, i don't know which are the best but I picked the three: http://www.panelook.com , http://www.tdcomponents.com , http://www.laptopscreen.com , http://www.twscreen.com
- simply do a google search on these websites for "120 Hz" (I only did for 120 Hz, maybe someone else can go for 144 Hz) - like so: https://www.google.com/search?safe=off& ... screen.com
- I checked out the first pages of results, confirmed that it says 120 hz on the product page, and then looked up in ebay if I can get them there
- here comes the list:
- MSI GE72VR 6RF APACHE PRO https://www.laptopscreen.com/English/mo ... PACHE~PRO/ a FHD 17.3" display for the msi gaming notebook, has 120Hz by default. offer I found: 63,98 € http://www.ebay.de/itm/MSI-GE72VR-6RF-A ... SwiBJaGEVS
- ASUS ROG GL702VS https://www.laptopscreen.com/English/mo ... G~GL702VS/ a 17.3" FHD display for the asus gaming laptop, has 120Hz by default. offer I found: 82€ http://www.ebay.de/itm/Dalle-Ecran-17-3 ... xy7vJTceQz
- MSI GS73VRhttps://www.laptopscreen.com/English/mo ... EALTH~PRO/ another 17.3" FHD display for an msi gaming laptop, native 120Hz. offer I found for 63,98€ http://www.ebay.de/itm/MSI-GS73VR-6RF-S ... 2548.l4275
- Chunghwa CLAA156WS01A http://www.twscreen.com/zh-CN/lcdpanel/ ... 6/1366x768 a 15.6" native 120Hz screen, max resolution is 1366x768. offer i found for 55,91€: https://www.ebay.de/itm/CLAA156WS01A-DI ... SwIhxZaIoL

Probably not, i've tried to OC a few Dells and you can get them 75hz+ but they all frame skip. but you can try yourself it will probably be fine.mike294 wrote:Is is possible to overclock Dell P2417H and if yes then up to how much?
