Re: G sync causing eye strain on Dell 27 Gaming Monitor | S2721DGFA?

Interessting.

I had to sell my DELL 2721dgf because of eyestrain, but I always had g-sync enabled. I thaught it's the nano ips panel, but I found out, that it also uses PWM/flickering (on very high HZ tho).

And I literally felt that input lag compared to that omen x27 Just paste this "watch?v=KeY_u7Pvrjg" behind youtube, com, since it's not allowed to post youtube links here somehow... Maybe I had a faulty unit tho, but it wa...

VRR/Adaptive Sync, Motion Blur and high Hz-rates

Hi, since I'am kinda new to this whole monitor topic, I didn't entirely looked through even some of the basics. I recently deactivated G-Sync on my Lenovo 27GQ-25 because it added noticable input lag. I was thinking about returning it because of that. But since I play at a FPS - Rate between 150-260...

Re: Buy buy samsung g7 odyssey 27 inch or wait

check out the video I recently made on youtube (paste /watch?v=KeY_u7Pvrjg behind youtube*com since you can't post youtube links here somehow). I don't know if they are valid, but they show what I actually felt. The Odyssey G7 didn't give me the "connected" feel and the tests actually show that. I d...

Re: Monitors | Differences in Movement and Aim | Input Lag Omen X27 vs Legion Y27gq

Short Update: I busted the issue on the Lenovo: G-Sync is the problem. It gives me the feel that somehow I have huge input lag. Deactivated everything feels now like on the Omen. Kinda disappointing. And it's (for me) really a night and day difference. I have basically the same feeling on the G7. Se...

Monitors | Differences in Movement and Aim | Input Lag Omen X27 vs Legion Y27gq

Hey hey, I have a weird phenomenon and I can't explain it. I have 3 Monitors here for comparision, since I have several issues wich each of them: Of course I am aware of bias/placebo and so on, still it's so strong, that I want to ask you guys about your opinion to this topic. - HP Omen X 27: Pro: 0...

Re: If you are sensitive to PWM, will you also be sensitive to BFI or strobing backlights?

I just can speak for myself. And yes, PWM is as bad as backlight strobing.

I have to return my current absolute favourite because of PWM flickering and exessive headache and nausea/motion sickness.

MBR gives me the same feelings with several Monitors I've tested.

Re: Fast 1440p Panel without PWM, ULMB or Nano IPS

Thanks Chief, for this in depth insight. Meanwhile, I also have the Lenovo Y27gq here, which doesn't have PWM. Here my headache is way better or gone. Still the monitors coating is giving me a harder time than for instance the M27Q or any other monitor I used before. I am meassuring input lag right ...

Re: Fast 1440p Panel without PWM, ULMB or Nano IPS

Sorry for the late reply. I tried the Dell2721DGF with a lot of different settings, but it gives me a realllly bad nausea/motion sickness, headache and a general uncomfortable feeling. I had the Gigabyte M27Q next to it in comparison and it was a relief to look at it in comparison. At first, I thoug...

Fast 1440p Panel without PWM, ULMB or Nano IPS

Hey guys, I really struggle with my search for a new monitor, thanks to many of the top notch displays giving me eather a heavy headache or motion sickness and nausea. I know it's caused by Nano-IPS Panels and Blur reductions like ULMB. I'am searching for a panel with as less motion blur and ghostin...
