So, I found out the reason is because:
A.) The M27Q uses a BGR subpixel layout which makes text appear fuzzy but is cheaper to manufacture.
B.) The S2721DGF has a much better stand.

Why is the Dell S2721DGF more expensive than the Gigabyte M27Q?
Now that they're both in stock, the price difference ($330 vs. $500) baffles me.
The RTings review indicates that both are virtually identical. So, what am I missing?
Appreciate the input.

Gigabyte M27Q vs. Dell S2721DGF vs. LG 27GL850/83A
After researching every 27" 1440p >144hz monitor currently available in Israel, the decision comes down to 3 options:
Gigabyte M27Q - $560 (70% price increase over US).
Dell S2721DGF - $640 (40% price increase over US).
LG 27GL850/83A - $730 (60% price increase over US).

Re: Once and for all, Advise for monitor choice
Wait, why would the PG259QN be a downgrade from the VG259QM? It's 360hz and a lot more expensive.
Also, since you care about panel 'speed' so much that even 165hz is too slow for you, wouldn't a TN panel be the most important aspect for you?
True, but isn't the newer IPS panels are fast ...

Re: Lenovo Y25-25 vs Viewsonic VX2458P
Oh, and I also discovered yesterday that my Titan X (Maxwell) doesn't support GSync because it's too old, so I'll have to wait until I can somehow find a GTX 3080 or 6800 XT to really take advantage of whatever monitor I buy.
Are you sure? This page shows that it does - https://www.nvidia.com ...

Re: RESOLUTION question via old monitor
I've had this before, seems like a bug. Windows is trying to go for the highest refresh rate as opposed to highest resolution.

Re: Lenovo Y25-25 vs Viewsonic VX2458P
Yeah, I did a lot of research yesterday and figured out the two best options are the Gigabyte M27Q and the Dell S2721DGF.
The Dell seems to be a lot more expensive in the US but only a little more expensive here and it boasts better response times (4ms vs 5ms on the Gigabyte).

Sorry for the spam, but I can't edit or see my posts..
I just found the Gigabyte M27Q. It's only $600 here and also 170hz. Same price as the ASUS 259QM, which is only 24" and 1080p.
Thinking about buying it.

Re: Lenovo Y25-25 vs Viewsonic VX2458P
Okay, I've been looking into the 27" 1440p 144hz monitors.
The LG 27GL850 (or 27GL83A) cost ~$700.
The Viewsonic XG270QG is no longer sold here, but the XG270QC is also $700.
The ASUS XG279Q is $1,000. It's literally so expensive that it's cheaper to buy it from Amazon for $600 and then pay $320 in ...
