Re: Help finding monitor for Xbox Series X that does 1080p @ 120hz with low input lag

I own the Viewsonic XG2402 and it meets your requirements. Playing on Xbox One X (not series) at 1080p + 120hz over HDMI. Displayport to PC at 1080p + 144hz. My Viewsonic OSD (On Screen Display) verifies 120 Hz when playing Xbox/HDMI by showing the following under "Information": H. Frequency: 134.9K...

i play on xbox one x and xg2402 @ 1080p + 120 Hz.

"allow variable refresh rate" is not available/supported. tried with AMD FreeSync enabled in the osd

A DisplayPort-to-HDMI conversion and vice-versa, can be relatively unbuffered (just line buffer / packet conversion). In theory, this adaptor would only add an insignificant latency.

I tested the "Benfei HDMI to DisplayPort Adapter" at 120HZ on the ZOWIE XL2411P 144Hz. The adapter is necessary for this model because the HDMI chip has a max throughput of 60HZ @ 1080p. Will using this adapter to translate the signal reduce the benefit of 120HZ (when the goal is lowest input delay)...
