Re: Recommended settings for SLI + G-Sync?
...Nvidia are pretty savy at giving you the best performance for your system as defaults in your driver. Probably be best to let your driver use the defaults. After much more testing I have to say that with my hardware Alternate Frame Rendering 2 gives me a smoother G-Sync experience on my SLI syst...

Re: Recommended settings for SLI + G-Sync?
No tearing at all, but I get an occasional frame drop which can be perceived as a stutter. Could just be a timing issue in my racing game. I just want to maximize my options and don't want to break G-Sync by turning on something I shouldn't. Which brings up another point. NVIDIA obviously knows I ha...

Recommended settings for SLI + G-Sync?
I'm currently testing Alternate Frame Rendering 2 for SLI rendering mode. I'm also using Single Display performance mode and Maximum Pre-Rendered Frames at 3 (as well as Virtual Pre-Rendered Frames). Are these settings good for G-Sync? Specifically AFR2. I'm concerned that maybe I should stick with ...

Re: Something is causing my PC to reboot
Yes. And, I re-secured the PCI-E connectors. I felt one snap in a little tighter to my new video card. It could have been slightly off. My cables are pretty tight in there. Once again, fingers crossed.pinobot wrote:Do you have the latest bios om motherboard and videocard?

Updated my graphics driver last night to NVIDIA 347.52 WHQL and it crashed again this morning. Got the attached screen. I'm gonna reconnect my cables after I post this...

Re: Something is causing my PC to reboot
Well, it's been a few days since I disabled Windows Update and no more random reboots. Hopefully it stays that way. Regarding my initial question about whether or not a Displayport Cable can cause that, I guess maybe not. I was going to upgrade my cable, but after researching it seems that NVIDIA se...

Re: Something is causing my PC to reboot
You are mentioning random shutdowns. Are these really random or do they occur when load on your gpu's is present. You should test what part of your system fails by testing them one by one. I doubt that 850 watts isnt enough for two 780ti's but hey stranger stuff happens. You mentioned you updated y...

Re: Something is causing my PC to reboot
Well then I guess the best test would be to uninstall your second 780 Ti for a week or so, see if it ever reboots, if it doesn't - put it back and if you get a reboot, you can be pretty sure it's either the card itself or the PSU. A 780 Ti can (according to Nvidia) suck up to 250 W and they recomme...

Re: Something is causing my PC to reboot
Nope. I prefer as stock as I can get. Just a plain jane Logitech M310.VarHyid wrote:Is it some "gaming mouse" that comes with extra drivers (which may be out of date or bad etc.)?Cooknn wrote:(...) It also seems like it happens when I'm actually doing something - with the mouse. It's fairly new too.
