Re: Can excessive anti-aliasing cause any input lag?
tested just about every possible AA scenario under the sun and have never once felt an increase in input lag due to better Anti Aliasing higher framerates are almost always more desirable to produce less input lag Just to be clear, you've tried many different types at once? I know more frames are b...

Re: Can excessive anti-aliasing cause any input lag?
Anti-aliasing, like any other graphics setting, will increase frame latency. Whether it's anti-aliasing that does it or shadow quality or perhaps ambient occlusion, or even resolution, doesn't matter though. It's just a graphics setting like any other. Why did you pick anti-aliasing out specificall...

Re: Lowest input lag settings for competitive fps
I'm no expert yet, but since no one has responded I'll jump in. Looks like you've hit all the basics. Disabling g-sync usually isn't worth it. Your fps is well under your refresh rate, but a frame rate cap at a multiple of the server tick rate helps in some games. I don't play cod so I don't know of...

Re: Can excessive anti-aliasing cause any input lag?
I generally play with it off at 1080p and just deal with the jaggies. I don't know if its input lag but with any type on it feels like it does become a bit more sluggish with the input. (And its not a change in FPS that is causing it). SMAA 1x is usually ok visually as well but anything higher crea...

Re: Can excessive anti-aliasing cause any input lag?
The question in general is: will you play better with better graphics? On one hand, if you can't see enemies, lower latency is useless. On the other hand, if it doesn't improve visibility, better graphics are useless. It's not strictly about enemy visibility. If something looks so bad that it flash...

Can excessive anti-aliasing cause any input lag?
Assuming you're still stable at your frame rate cap, can too much anti-aliasing (or any other graphical settings) add input lag? The reason I ask is because the jagged lines in rocket league are horrible so I've been cranking up the AA a ridiculous amount. Between the configuration files and nvidia ...

Re: Lost on setup for Rocket League
I’m not sure if these settings are “right” but I’m not feeling bad. I wouldn't just turn on random stuff for no reason lol, you're gonna increase your input lag. I'd keep your monitor at it's highest refresh rate and try capping your frames at 240 (you can do this with bakkesmod if the game won't l...

Re: Lost on setup for Rocket League
I appreciate the input. Since sept I’ve taken the game “more seriously”. I started doing poquitos ground shots several times a day. Freeplay was 20-30 minutes a day the first few months, plus in between matches. I’ve since cut down on that, as I wasn’t seeing returns from it in the form of wins. Lo...

Re: Lost on setup for Rocket League
Yes, but it depends, maybe you're monitor sucks and even though it might work fine at 175hz, it might not be stable. You could however reduce the resolution to e.g. 720p, that should allow you to push the hz higher without as much trouble. Will it be obvious if it's unstable? Or is there a gray are...

Re: Lost on setup for Rocket League
My problem is that I always feel slightly behind everyone in game. I can’t rank up even with so many hours of practice. It’s like I’m in a different time reality than them. Would 240hz be the answer I’m looking for or am I a fool? No monitor is going to make you faster than everyone in rocket leagu...
