Re: It's a shame that plasma tech is dead
I've heard that BFI on the CX isn't even viable due to the eye straining pulsating excess flicker on whites, plus it's stuck at 80nits. The former is a deal breaker imo, just like it is for everybody who's purchased ANY LG OLED, including Samsung's latest QD-OLED line up. It's a shame, because LG & ...

Re: Has the upcoming LG G3 & Samsung S95C's BFI improved?
I work at a retailer that will be selling these TVs. According to one of the LG representatives, there will be no BFI module shipping in any of the new LG TVs. He didn't give me much information on it, but said something along the lines of "No one uses it so who cares". I wouldn't use this informat...

Re: Very bad news about VR. They're chosing HDR over motion quality
Just tried out a couple of VR2 games running at 90fps. Wow, what a difference! Motion doubling is completely gone, and the motion as expected is more life like and smooth. Environmental blur seems to pretty much eliminated as well during in-game movement, be it smooth turning, character animations e...

Re: Very bad news about VR. They're chosing HDR over motion quality
I can't believe Sony left the default Brightness/motion this way. Everybody is getting a far crappier impression of PSVR2 because of the out of box higher motion persistence. It's like gaming through the eyes of somebody that has one too many drinks, how is that enjoyable? And while lowering bright...

Has the upcoming LG G3 & Samsung S95C's BFI improved?
Supposedly, last years LG G2's BFI jumped you up to 650p motion resolution with a 5ms persistence(Cutting down more than half the motion blur smacking the screen), as did the Samsung S95B(Could be wrong). The following above is comparable to 'average' plasma motion at 60fps when gaming. Just wonderi...

Re: Samsung S95B QD-OLED Black frame insertion
HDTV.Test has confirmed that it's 60hz black frame insertion will give you 650p motion resolution "650p motion resolution" -- I don't like the old analog motion resolution standard. It makes zero sense to me in the modern display modern era. I wish testers would stop using legacy "lines of motion r...

Samsung S95B QD-OLED Black frame insertion
Has anybody tested this TV through the ringer yet? HDTV.Test has confirmed that it's 60hz black frame insertion will give you 650p motion resolution, but no word on Blur reduction/motion persistence and how much nits you're left with. I'm assuming it's BFI will be brighter than the LG C1's since it'...

Re: QD-OLED monitor is out. Any info about strobing capabilities?
The Samsung S95B QD-OLED was just released a few days ago. Would anybody happen to know it's 60hz Black frame insertion Motion persistence, Motion resolution, remaining brightness/nits and how it would stack against something like the C1, when using it for SDR Movie/TV? Wont be going back to WRGB OL...

Re: LG OLED CX 120Hz BFI
Does anybody know how much motion resolution you get with the LG C1's MotionPro HIGH/BFI setting? A Calibrator on YT told me that MotionPro High in 'SDR' ISF Bright/Dark Picture settings will give you 150-170 Nits at '50' OLED Light. You can't raise it past 50 and get a brighter picture btw, and lik...
