Finally proper motion tests in mainstream! RTINGS
It took so many years, but finally the day has come. Finally proper testing, moving camera method and even tests designed to catch the flaws like red ghosting on some types of LCD tech https://youtu.be/-bEKOp1GLDs They went from being completely ignorant years ago, where their motion quality scores ...

Just 1080p 24" is way too much for me to even consider upgrading from also Benq 1080p 144Hz (XL2411Z) which is a model that's now almost 10 years old. 500$ for this is just awful and it's even worse if you compare the price of used XL2411Z (100$) to this 500% and it only differs in 240Hz and a bit b...

Re: [HDTVTest]Review First-Ever OLED Gaming Monitor with BFI (240Hz/ 120Hz)
His point of view is a non-gamer perspective. Over the past few years, he showed lack of knowledge and ignorance while discussing motion and features like BFI. Sadly, it's one of those "movies only" guys, so he is not interested in motion representation topic, becausre movies are made at 24fps and 3...

Re: OLED 240Hz & 240 FPS = how much blur reduction?
https://blurbusters.com/persistence-vs-motion-blur/ https://blurbusters.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/motion_blur_from_persistence.png This chart is about SLOW motion. Double the blur to simulate the real image quality in faster motion. IPS is too slow to squeeze everything from the 360Hz so this i...

Re: Should BFI improve motion blur when I am moving
Besides the most important thing mentioned above (eye tracking), also check this: https://blurbusters.com/faq/mouse-guide/ Make a test with ufotest page, or by using a controller to create steady movement. If you see a big difference between controller vs. mouse, then that's what you're seeing. Inco...

Re: The 480Hz Tour De Force, Chef's Masterpiece: 480HZ OLED PURSUIT CAMERA
Can anyone hypothesize what the input lag would look like w/ 240hz ELMB? Could it still be competitive in esports? Assuming it’d be much better than 120hz ELMB. I estimate the chnace for it to be a problem at 0,00%. 120Hz backlight strobing is already OK with v-sync OFF. 120Hz backlight strobing is...

Re: Any no-compromises upgrade from BenQ XL2720Z in 2023?
There's nothing matching EVERY good aspect of XL2720Z, but there's a few models that are good in some aspects. Personally, I don't know much, as for me, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100 and 120Hz strobed modes are a MUST, and that's rare. Browse some threads here, read what Chief wrote about the near term future...

Which 27" 1440p IPS with good strobed mode?
Hi Please help my friend to choose something. I have limited time, made some research but am far from final verdict. I didn't see any of the monitors in person, so can only rely on reviews and hopefully your input here. Current candidates: Acer Nitro XV272U KVbmiiprzx LG 27GN800-B LG is currently in...
