Re: Spritz - super fast reading

Oh, I saw a link for that and thought it was an onion video or a joke. I'll have to try that demo next time I'm on the computer, as I don't see an option on the mobile site. Still, got tl read about it, cool stuff. Though I'm sure we might be more choosy about the displays we use it on. I wonder if ...

Re: Lightboost/ Asus TYrace free questions

Unfortunately with Lightboost, it does add a small amount of Input Lag, in order to strobe the display when the screen is fully refreshed. One thing to make sure of is that you are using a 1000Hz mouse, as the higher rate of refreshing on the monitor means you could end up waiting for your mouse to ...

Re: Shopping advice for my poor eyes :)

Usually what I've seen people say is that there are different sensitivities people have when people have sensitive eyes. One sensitivity might be from flickering PWM lighting, while others are just fine from that but are sensitive to the immense motion blurring of 60Hz LCD. Depending on which sensit...

That bezel looks super cool! I hadn't thought of doing anything like that before, but in considering it now.

Re: Overclocking of Qnix Q2710 has no visible effects

I think he means DPI, but the Deathadder has a 1000Hz polling rate already anyways. On topic, it might be hard to see a difference with a Qnix. The IPS panel has a slower response, like Chief was saying, so he effects will be less pronounced than a TN from 60Hz to 120Hz. Though you say you haven't s...

Re: having trouble overclocking my new qnix 2710

If you are getting those at 106, and 110, a new cable could definitely help you go further, though the monitors limit is still unknown. It could be 112 even. But with a new, better cable, and reduced manual timings, you should be able to get around 115, if not higher. :)

Re: having trouble overclocking my new qnix 2710

Depends on the issue you get when the monitor isn't accepting any more overclocking. Are you getting red and green lines horizontally, maybe some display blinking a few times a second, or does it just go black really fast after you set it a few extra Hz?

Re: having trouble overclocking my new qnix 2710

You are using a dual link cable for this as well, correct? Have you tried any other cables, to be sure there isn't any oddities with your current cable?

Re: BENQ XL2720Z 27" of goodness :) [and firmware bug]

When returning to the store, make sure to avoid being charged any restocking fees or the like, as BenQ has admitted to the bug affecting these units, and that you're returning it due to this bug.

Re: Converting a 4K HDMI 1.4 TV to DisplayPort for overclock

Alot of points to reply to. I'll post some, and probably go back and edit this post accordingly. Also in doing the math on this, if HDMI 1.4 could do 38hz w/o issue (and 40hz with minor artifacts on an overclock of the Skyworth 4K 39") at a 10.2 Gbps data rate, and HDMI 2.0 is an 18 Gbps data rate i...
