Oh sorry you just hold 1 + 3 and then press the power button, don't release them, and once it turns on the service menu is on the left side, sometimes it vanishes instantly but do it a couple times and it will appear for sure. Can you take a screenshot of both all of your service menus? I'd like to ...

Ignore the joystick. Hold power button whilst pushing 1 and 3 simultaneously. Push 4 once it turns on.

I can't comment on your issue but did just recently receive a replacement AW2521H. Everything seems newer except the NV FW number, but I assume this is some weird naming scheme and it's newer too. I've no idea though!

Hopefully this fixes the g-sync module crashing once every few weeks, and black ...

To make it better, I would personally suggest adding a pill shaped target, or thicker inverted color line behind the white line that the user controls, that changes direction at random intervals on the horizontal plane.
