I would choose 2004 era graphics at ultra high refresh rates over the current situation. At that point I think the bottleneck would be on the CPU side.

Re: Overwatch -- Lightboost 120Hz + Fast Sync

I also tried RealNC's trick by adding a custom refresh rate with CRU and capping with the in-game limiter. Unfortunately I still feel input lag in Overwatch even after being very generous with the gap in refresh rates. I also noticed frametimes were very consistently spiking up and then slowly rolli...

Re: Presenting the ZOWIE XL2540 240Hz

Dynamic overdrive was mentioned in the Freesync/G-Sync comparison thread on these forums. The G-Sync module apparently handles this task. To me this sounds like a very important feature to have so the image stays as ghost free as possible as it transitions through various refresh rates. Acer Predato...

Can you please suggest a browser to use for this test? The site says Firefox, Chrome, Edge and Internet explorer are all broken.

Lightboost is causing my monitor to buzz

There's an audible buzzing sound coming from the 3d emitter at the top of my VG278H when lightboost is enabled and it silences when I disable lightboost. Is this normal or is it a sign that the monitor is on the way out? I think I would have noticed it before but I usually have headphones on to muff...

Re: External framerate caps adds lag. Use in-game framerate

Do you have any idea what could be causing this? yes fps_max 120 = bouncing from 7 to 10ms afterburner capped to 120 = locked at 8.3ms that's what's causing it afterburner's cap is more stable personally I would avoid using any fps cap unless I'm running with gsync Do you know why Source's fps limi...

Re: External framerate caps adds lag. Use in-game framerate

Adding this here hoping it gets a reply. Hello everyone. I have read a few very helpful posts here about capping your FPS. I have always used msi afterburner to cap my FPS at 120 on my 120Hz monitor which results in small and sharp tear that constantly rolls downward through the screen. This isn't t...

Re: FPS capping question

Actually when I uncap the fps and it drops in the 120-180 range I see too much stuttering. I prefer the sharp tear over that.

FPS capping question

Hello everyone. I have read a few very helpful posts here about capping your FPS. I have always used msi afterburner to cap my FPS at 120 on my 120Hz monitor which results in small and sharp tear that constantly rolls downward through the screen. This isn't that bad to me. I recently read Chief's ar...
