Hello folks,
I've noticed a performance decrease with G-sync enabled or disabled with my PG278Q. I did some extensive testing with this and I've come to the conclusion that having G-sync available as an option in the NVCP causes a performance hit (bad drivers I suppose?). This is consistent with ...

GTX 980 Ti SLI Severe Performance Loss with G-sync Monitor
I posted about this almost a year ago when I had two GTX Titans. We never got to the bottom of the issue, so I just ignored it and took the performance hit. I was under the impression that maybe the GTX Titans in SLI just had issues with g-sync. However, as a new owner of two GTX 980 Ti's, I can ...

Re: Latest maxwell drivers not working with Gsync
Nvidia has done a horrible job with the rollout of G-sync. I have had nothing but problems with my ROG Swift due to drivers. My advice is to complain to Nvidia, although they probably won't listen. We're the guinea pigs and the mainstream consumer is the ultimate winner, as they'll be getting ...

Re: Performance Decrease with PG278Q
My advice is to run 3D Mark since it's more stable during overclocking. A single card will not produce any issues, as the issue I've brought up only occurs with SLI. It's definitely a driver issue, but the real question is if this issue persists with all SLI cards or only a subset of cards. I have 2 ...

So has anybody come up with a solution or replicated my original findings?

Re: Performance Decrease with PG278Q
I've also noticed that my temperatures at idle are significantly higher with this monitor. Just to see if it was the settings, I set my refresh rate to 60 and turned off G-sync, but my idles still sit between 50C and 52C. Do you guys think something could be wrong with my monitor? Perhaps the G-sync ...

Re: G-Sync - Laggy at <55fps, same for you ???
Good news guys. The latest driver (344.11) has fixed the stuttering issues I was getting. The panning in Crysis 3 is now smooth with a mouse and BF3 is perfect. The only stutter I notice now in games in when the engine stutters. Now this is what I was expecting out of Gsync! I hope everyone else ...

Re: Asus ROG PG278Q 1080P@144h
I'm assuming you're looking to purchase the PG278Q. Why would you purchase a 2560x1440 monitor just to play it at a lower, non-native resolution? It kind of defeats the purpose of the product. There are 1920x1080 monitors with G-sync coming to the market which will be cheaper. Also, the VG248QE can ...
