Did not read everything but I have a question, is windows activated? I had noticed in the past that whenever the "activate windows" watermark shows up on the screen, g sync would not function at all.

5.4 is DP 1.2 and there is no way you could run 240hz at DP 1.2 from my understanding. Is your refresh actually set at 240hz?

This seems to be a red herring (maybe). I tested the new dp cable with my other monitor and it shows 5.4 gbps (for a 165 hz 1440 display). The new monitor overclocks to 180 hz. I have an LG 27GP850 and 3080ti. I honestly don't think it is a monitor issue or a driver issue. I have a crazy notion to believe its a windows issue but I have no clue. I can tell you that I have had this problem for a long time.

Nope, it was the same one which is technically the first port. I have tried every port before though.
