Re: ASUS ROG Swift Pro PG248QP 540hz or ViewSonic XG2431

540HZ is a waste of time unless you have an RTX 4090 and even then most games won't run anywhere near 540 FPS you will also need a Ryzen 7800 X3D CPU aswell.

Get the XG2431 it can do 60 HZ and 120 HZ pretty much free of cross talk

Re: Got Permanently Banned by "ServiceServices" mod from r/MotionClarity for posting about how good the XG2431 is

Hello, I wish that everyone got along on the Internet better. And I've been quiet this month because I had been very sick during a large portion of April. I apologize. I just wanted to mention that this thread has been moved to the Offtopic Lounge, and will be closed (soon) to new replies as it has...

Re: XG2431 Horizontal Lines when not in 239.761 Hz

benQ seems to also have a lot of complaints about broken Zowie monitors aswell From my understanding all these strobing focused monitors use extreme voltage to power the LEDs to get acceptable brightness while strobing maybe thats the reason so many of them fail Seems like a reasonable theory but I...

Re: Is the ViewSonic XG2431 without strobing still king for minimum input lag, response time, ghosting and motion blur?

Also, Evelyn, they're typically playing in a stretched resolution along with inaccurate colors, because they care more about player visibility than any visual accuracy or aesthetics. What custom resolution do you use with strobing for lower input delay and why do you think it has input lag with str...

Re: are CRT monitors really better?

Yes CRT monitors were far better than any modern LCD or OLED in everything but weight, contrast and brightness. CRT themselves were exactly like OLED but far better for gaming, could turn on and off each pixel individually by use of an electron gun and had no such thing as motion blur and they could...

Re: XG2431 Horizontal Lines when not in 239.761 Hz

Looks like the 240hz setting also started producing the same lines or worse. As of today the monitor has failed and will not produce a normal image at any Hz. It was a great ride, loved using this thing. Unfortunately it doesn't seem like the reliability of the XG2431 has improved since release. Is...

Re: ViewSonic XG2431 Discussion Thread [Blur Busters Approved XG2431 - 24" 240Hz IPS with Best Strobing]

XG2431 I bought in september 2022 developed a defect of horizontal lines forming above and below anything drawing on the screen, including the ViewSonic logo during power on. I see a decent amount of posts of this issue on other boards. I really enjoy the feature set of the monitor. Like I happened...

Re: ViewSonic XG2431 Discussion Thread [Blur Busters Approved XG2431 - 24" 240Hz IPS with Best Strobing]

The pulse with value is a percentage of a refresh cycle, and a strobe backlight's pulse width is the MPRT(100%) result. It's a nice demonstration of what's going on. Even though it doesn't show exact MPRT for each refresh rate like: XG2431 PureXP+: @60Hz: Light = non-strobed 150Hz mprt Normal = non...

A number of people cared and it got the ban lifted so it clearly mattered not to mention anyone with sense knows full well how niche the motion blur community is.
I am sure that mod was punished so I am satisfied with the outcome.
