Re: ViewSonic XG2431 Discussion Thread [Blur Busters Approved XG2431 - 24" 240Hz IPS with Best Strobing]
XG2431 I bought in september 2022 developed a defect of horizontal lines forming above and below anything drawing on the screen, including the ViewSonic logo during power on. I see a decent amount of posts of this issue on other boards. I really enjoy the feature set of the monitor. Like I happened...

The pulse with value is a percentage of a refresh cycle, and a strobe backlight's pulse width is the MPRT(100%) result. It's a nice demonstration of what's going on. Even though it doesn't show exact MPRT for each refresh rate like: XG2431 PureXP+: @60Hz: Light = non-strobed 150Hz mprt Normal = non...

A number of people cared and it got the ban lifted so it clearly mattered not to mention anyone with sense knows full well how niche the motion blur community is.
I am sure that mod was punished so I am satisfied with the outcome.

There is a big difference between 640x480 vs FHD 1080P
Only idiots play on 480P low settings.

Re: Viewsonic XG2431 black image? Dead panel?
From research I have done including Amazon flagging system the XG2431 seems to have an over 25% failure rate which is much higher than the 3% failure rate of electronic devices. Samsung monitors some odyssey series also has same issue a massive failure rate and return rate Amazon awards a badge for...

Re: ROG Ally Black Frame Insertion
image retention is a result of the pixel polarity due to BFI You can solve the issue by running BFI again on a different image instead of waiting 10 hours. It would have also been removed if you just left the screen off. There is another way to prevent the image retention and thats with a retrotink ...

Re: Significant RetroArch BFI Update
Can you run new games like Tekken 8 etc with Retroarch and BFI?
Also how does this BFI compare to the github software "Desktop BFI"

Re: Does Supersampling a Game Improve Motion Clarity With Low Persistence Displays?
super sampling improves anti aliasing it's how AA was designed back in the days , this is the Original Anti Aliasing method so yes it improves motion clarity in the sense there is no more jaggies.
I mean it removes jaggies without introducing the nasty blur of TAA

Re: FPS & Variable refresh rate unable to sync in Dota 2
I have an XG2431 and its also unplayable in DOTA 2 I thought it was my GPU an Intel Arc A750 but I think it's the game itself the VRR doesn't work neither does V-SYNC it stutters like crazy The game is very clearly broken I deleted it went back to league of legends and no more issues, smooth as butt...
