I don't know why this is true but i found disabling vsync in both nvcp and in game got rid of my eye strain issues in a massive way. The difference was night and day. I just use vrr with no vsync and since its 480hz its almost never a problem (and can use fps cap if is).

Reading some of these posts I was wondering three things and I was hoping someone would be able to confirm them.

1. Since the BFI on OLED is just adding a black frame every other frame its just software BFI yeah but integrated into the monitors firmware somehow?

Since a 240hz oled can put a black frame in every second frame and get 120hz bfi (presumably this is basically just software bfi being implemented by asus into the monitor) can't they make 3/4 frames black and get 60hz bfi with a 75% brightness loss with exactly the same outcome? I also was ...

Since it was very dim I remember increasing monitor brightness made colors look very bad.
If you experience flickering that means app refresh is not synced with monitor refresh rate. It needs to be perfect to look good.
