Re: [Velocitization Effect] Re: Adjusting to different refresh rates?

WOW, this was an amazing read! Thank you so much Chief! This makes total sense why I felt like 35mph was 30mph doing driving lessons after doing high speeds. I never learned about velocitization at all (sadly) during my lessons. I was also watching videos in VLC so this makes sense as to why it did...

[Velocitization Effect] Adjusting to different refresh rates?

If I spent a few days looking at a 144hz screen (or 360hz), then go back to 60hz, the 60hz screen now looks like 30fps, but after a few days of using 60hz it eventually starts to look like 60fps again. 1. Is there a specific term for this effect? 2. How do you get used to using a high refresh rate s...

Re: Help with connecting new monitor to laptop and PC

Option 2, but what refresh rate does your monitor have? some displays will work up to 144hz with HDMI and 240hz and above with DisplayPort.

Re: Asus PG27AQN vs. Zowie XL2566K vs. 240 HZ OLED

The PG27AQN colour accuracy is perfect, the colours look 'normal' and balanced, like what you would get with a standard monitor. It only took me 10-15 minutes to setup, afterwards I didn't mess with the OSD menu again (other than testing 25" mode) I personally didn't like 25" mode since I was so use...

Re: A monitor with no compromise? does it exist?

Thanks again for your advice Chief Blur Buster. I tried the PG27AQN, but I ended up returning it due to the sides of the screen being dimmer than what they should be, which coincidentally was mentioned in Hardware Unboxed review. I was really impressed with the colours, they were on par with my 60hz...

Colour Fringing on OLEDs?

I'm surprised there isn't an existing thread for colour fringing/color fringing :D I'm excited for the upcoming OLED monitors such as the 27GR95QE, but colour fringing seems like it might be a dealbreaker on these new OLED monitors as I hate chromatic abberation. I will buy it and see if it is a dea...
