Re: USb 3/4+ Future USB 8,000Hz -to- 24,000Hz polling rate
I am trying to figure out if all USB C cables are capable of 8k polling or if there is something I should be looking for? I am replacing the USB cable on my Corsair K65 - 60% keyboard. Looking to change to an Aviator style coiled cable but wasn't sure if they are all capable of 8k as this keyboard ...

Re: LG 27" 1440p 240hz OLED Ultragear 27GR95QE
My current biggest worry is OLED lag (+1 refresh cycle time versus LCD), but they're working on that. i've been out of the loop, is there a source on this? RTINGS, most famously, but most OLED lag tests show this. And since I work with monitor manufacturers, I know why many OLEDs have to buffer a f...

display input lag measurements
just bought a bunch of cables, adapters, etc. i'll be doing more of these soon. first up: CRT, vga cable to display latency the fw900 supports input via bnc connectors. everything still works perfectly if one of the color channels is unplugged. so i unplugged the red connector and connected it to an...

i don't get it either... it's really stupid tbhMaximilianKohler wrote: ↑26 May 2020, 23:02by reading in other places that "a 144Hz monitor 140fps looks better than a 240Hz 140fps".
i can guarantee you that unless the monitor has some really wack overdrive settings, 240hz 140fps will be better...

Re: Why I'm done with 240hz
haven't really read this thread but As I mentioned on the first point, not being able to sustain high framerates on 240hz monitors is asking for problems. But will elaborate more. ignoring beat/stutter effects when framerate and display refresh are very close. i don't understand how this makes any s...

Re: TestUFO Display Lag Test coming! (SMTT accurate)
However, I'm thinking of ways of adding an error-margin-verification pattern so that poor lag test photos can be discarded -- it's dependant on fast shutter + globalness camera shutter. Most smartphones have a rolling shutter which creates some problems. i feel like pretty much all camera nowadays ...

Re: Updated Statement: HDMI vs DP Input Lag
passive cables will never add any meaningful amount of input lag
in terms of decoding the signal, i have no reason to believe either is significantly faster or slower than the other.

less latency skew (or whatever you call it) at higher Hz, if we assume that vblank is set to something reasonable in every caseChief Blur Buster wrote: ↑20 May 2020, 10:38Sample-and-hold 60Hz, 120Hz, and 360Hz look identical for 60fps at 60Hz. You have 16.7ms of motion blur.
