Re: TIP: Always put high-Hz keyboard and high-Hz mouse on SEPARATE DEDICATED USB CHIPS.
Has anyone tried one of these adapters? I'm looking for a way to use the M.2 slot connected to the CPU. I don't need it for an NVMe SSD. The second adapter does not have the controller listed, and it's hidden behind a heatsink. That might be a concern since that means the controller runs hot. Contro...

Re: Ping Plotter results - can anyone test theirs?
If the game has in-game network diagnostics, I would use that over ping plotter. As long as the first hop and last hop show 0 packet loss, then it most likely means you don't have packet loss on your end. Ping (ICMP) is usually lowest priority on these networks, so even if you see some packet loss a...

Re: TIP: Always put high-Hz keyboard and high-Hz mouse on SEPARATE DEDICATED USB CHIPS.
I can't tell looking in the manual. What I would do is use the USB Device Tree Viewer app, or open Device Manager and view devices by connection. From there you can plugin a USB device to different ports and see which controller it shows up under. If using Device Manager, right click and go to Prope...

Re: TIP: Always put high-Hz keyboard and high-Hz mouse on SEPARATE DEDICATED USB CHIPS.
Figured this is the right thread for this information. The Asrock X570S PG Riptide has 3 USB controllers. The mouse labeled port is on the same controller as the other rear light blue ports. It's kinda an odd choice. Users are more likely to use the rear ports than use the internal headers. These po...

Re: Is this normal for PCI-E Max Lane?
V.1 is what version the Realtek controller supports. 1x lane on V.1 is about 250MB/s, or 2gbps, which is double the speed of 1gbps ethernet. I wouldn't worry about it.

Re: WANTED: Software Devs: Game Company Approved Gaming VPN client with BUILT IN NETWORK LATENCY DE-JITTERING [BountySou
Something that I would like to have in a VPN is to chose the path or location of an anycast address. Most big VPN providers let you choose your VPN's location, but it's not 100% guaranteed to connect to a different anycast address's location. Idk if this feature would fix the issue I'm currently hav...

Re: motherboard
That board is good enough. If you need faster USB ports, get an addon PCIe card.

Re: Audio delay is a thing?
If the 50-60ms is from mouse click to audio output, that's on the low side from what I've seen. Battle(non)sense on Youtube tested a few audio devices. The lowest latency device was his motherboard's audio, Realtek ALC S1220. Other devices had higher latency. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JTuZvRF-...

AOC Agon AG271QX Pixel Persistence With High Contrast Setting
Anyone experience a similar issue? I'm using an AOC Agon AG271QX. When I set the contrast to approximately 50 or higher, pixels don't immediately turn off when going from white to black. The bottom row of green pixels stay somewhat lit for a few minutes if there's a white object on them for an exten...

Re: Ram causing desync/input lag
have you tested if your frame rates and minimum frame times are worse with XMP enabled? Check in the BIOS or with Intel Extreme Tuning Utility to see how loose each timing is being set. Some RAM have really loose secondary timings with XMP, which can make it perform worse than the default timings at...
