Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF
I just did some research and it seems that no pro esports players use G-Sync (VRR). The only difference I can see is that we have a 390hz monitor so maybe it is more worth it? Especially since I can’t consistently hold 390fps in Fortnite

Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF
VRR on or off? Pros and cons of both? I have tried VRR for the first time for the past few days and am unsure if i play better or worse with it. I play Fortnite and cap my frames at 387 on 390hz. I can’t consistently hold 387 but my frames usually vary between 250-387. I imagine VRR uses more of you...

Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF
Update: I now have my frames custom capped at 390 within Fortnite. My frames vary and do not always maintain 390fps. I think VRR adds some input delay, but it removes stutters? I can’t decide if I’m better with VRR on or off. Maybe it’s even better just to keep VRR off and cap my frames at 240? I tr...

Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF
... So you’re suggesting I enable VRR on 390hz and then cap my in game fps to 240? Not necessarily -- you want uncapped framerates completely inside your VRR range. That luxury happens only if you've purchased one of these ultra-high-Hz monitors like 390 Hz or 500 Hz. Capping is a band-aid because ...

Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF
Should I have my monitor set at 390hz and cap my game to 240fps? Or should I lower my hz to match my frame rate. ... I have thought about maybe even trying to use strobing at 240hz. I understand I can’t strobe at 390hz because I cannot maintain 390fps. For strobing you should use 240Hz. With 390Hz ...

Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF
Hello, I’m new to this forum and have a few questions about this monitor. I mainly play Fortnite and can really only consistently keep 240fps. Should I have my monitor set at 390hz and cap my game to 240fps? Or should I lower my hz to match my frame rate. Currently I’m playing on max brightness, max...
