RTSS/NvidiaCP Limiter + In-game FPS limiter input lag & frame time question

Just watched a few videos relating to the Input Lag difference of the various in-game fps caps vs third party fps caps, and it made me curious what happens when you combine both the in-game limit and a third party limit? The in-game limiter has less input lag but the third party limiters have less f...

Re: Cap your fps people (battlenonsense)

What do you guys think is the best way to cap FPS in TF2? The in-built fps_max console command seems quite dodgy, when using refresh rate OSD counter on my monitor (XN253QX - 240Hz w/ G-Sync) it causes violent fluctuation from 231-235 Hz. RTSS of course keeps a perfectly stable 237 FPS+237 Hz at al...

At first I thought this was a necro and I guess it kinda still is, but I have to respect your followup on this thread.

Re: NVIDIA to Support FreeSync (VESA Adaptive Sync)

Any word on the list of 300+ monitors that failed Nvidia's validation. Curious if my monitor and several others for that matter are on the list. Yes I saw that but has anyone even demonstrated that the XL2740 actually supports AMD freesync to begin with? I haven't seen one post from anyone saying it...

Re: XL2540 Blur Reduction Area Setting

It depends on what area of screen is your highest priority. Usually it is the screen centre, but it can be others. Due to law of physics, it applies universally to all full strobe backlights (backlights that flash all at once). There is a area lag asymmetry that is produced from the panel's finite-...

XL2540 Blur Reduction Area Setting

Had some questions about the Area setting in the BenQ XL2540.

1920x1080 @240Hz

Which area setting has the least input lag? (I know awhile back that people suggested watching for a 1 pixel shift but my eyesight blows)

Which area setting has the least/most acceptable crosstalk?

Re: Presenting the ZOWIE XL2540 240Hz

Just wanted to add to this that saved setting include the Blur Reduction. So if you have Gamer 1 saved with blur reduction and gamer 2 with none Gamer 1 will turn blur reduction back on. Probably not surprising for most, but wanted to make sure everyone knew about this.

Re: Asus eyecare monitors for low blue light and flicker-fre

The XL2430T has its own issues, namely the S-switch being almost useless, because the presets the S-switch buttons are linked to: Gamer 1, Gamer 2 and Gamer 3, are HARDWIRED to the low level color calibration settings for FPS1, FPS2 and RTS mode, even if you save another mode over it (e.g. standard...

Re: Nvidia and CS GO Lowest Input LAG

Just wondering here does BenQ XL2411Z's "specs" be the same even when you use 120hz instead of 144hz ? I mean gtg response time and stuff like that? I guess specs won't be the same. They will differ a bit. Look at 144hz and 240hz http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/asus_rog_swift_pg258q.htm#overdri...

Re: Presenting the ZOWIE XL2540 240Hz

You can fix the blueish trail by changing the OD Gain setting in the service menu! I know, but I was remarking on how it seemed to be better when using it in games despite it being obviously worse for text. To be more specific though. For text the XL2540 with AMA=High looks like the XL2420TE AMA=Pr...
