Re: Acer XB270HA 27" 1080p 144hz
Interesting :)
Is there any way of sharing that calibration or mimic those settings?
I personally find the screen to be a bit washed out, the blacks are more gray than black and the uniformity of the backlight is not that great. Display a completely black image and it is clearly visible. A fair bit ...

Re: Acer XB270HA 27" 1080p 144hz
1080p is totally fine on a 27" for gaming I think.
I think you need to think of this like a 300 euro gaming monitor with 200 euro worth of G-sync tacked on to it.
The Asus PG278Q to me looks like it has a better panel but also costs a lot more and also you need better hardware to drive it due to the ...

Re: Acer XB270HA 27" 1080p 144hz
What are your settings on the actual monitor?
In the nvidia-controlpanel I have it on "Other programs run the color-setting" and about 65% digital vibrance because otherwise the colors are extremely washed out.
On the actual monitor:
Profile: "Standard" (If i have it on "User" it reverts to ...

Re: Acer XB270HA 27" 1080p 144hz
Could very well be? Thanks for the links :)
It shows up as "1920x1080(Native)" though and not "1080p 1920x1080(Native)".
Just curious as to what settings other users prefer.
I have it currently on "User" but the monitor has a tendency to not retain settings and changes it to "Standard" also not ...

Re: Acer XB270HA 27" 1080p 144hz
1920x1080@144 Hz from Geforce 780
Upped the "vibrance" so I got a bit more color but that is not the issue. It just does not look great.
Tried changing refreshrate to 120Hz but not really better.
G-sync in itself is nice but I get the feeling this is basically a pretty crappy panel.

Re: Acer XB270HA 27" 1080p 144hz
Just got mine a couple of days ago. Coming from an older cheap Philips 60 Hz gaming monitor with so so colors and viewing angles.
Have to say I am not blown away by the monitor, was expecting lots more.
144Hz and G-sync works really nicely but the effect is more subtle than I anticipated. My issue ...
