Re: Second XF252Q

Freesync removes tearing, has nothing to do with ghosting. :l It does. Try it urself. Check it on UFO Ghosting tool developed by blurbusters. Freesync (g-sync compatible) actually reduces ghosting greatly. I tried myself already like 5 240hz monitors, on most G-Sync compatible reduced ghosting (exc...

Re: Second XF252Q

Yeah, just making sure. Are you running with Freesync enabled both on the monitor and in the Nvidia control panel with the compatibility mode ticked? It's most evident when playing games where the FPS fluctuates quite a bit. I'm going to give it some more time and see if leaving the backlight on at...

Re: Acer XF252Q - this is my endgame

Can anyone do pursuit pictures to compare to hp omen x 25f? Strobed and non-strobed 240hz? 144hz strobed? TFT's strobed images looked pretty bad. I dont have myself a good camera to take a shoot of it, but i'll tell you how this looks like. on XF252Q on FreeSync (with G-Sync Compatible enabled) gho...

Re: Second XF252Q

Plugged the first one back in and indeed it's a issue with the second display. First one was almost perfect except for the stuck red pixel. I have myself XF252Q and my friend has it also. We have no any problems whatsoever with the units, (although both have different backlight diformity and backli...

Re: Acer XF252Q - this is my endgame

I also write in another forum. There are a lot of complains about VG258QR there.Recent buyers complain about some problems(bad colours, very yellow screen and etc) which I dont have with mine. There probably is a problem with some units.Notty was right after all and we didnt believe him. :D Mine is gr...

Re: Acer XF252Q - this is my endgame

With this one I can actually use it with minor artifacts (purple corona on very fast transitions), 60 for desktop and single player games and 100 for multiplayer games. Did you try the monitor? Yes i've tried some 144hz panels and above. I tried one AOC which had also 165hz but it was IPS panel and...

Re: Acer XF252Q - this is my endgame

In their recent ASUS VG258QR 144hz 0.5ms the ghosting is the same shit, super annoying, and guaranteed eye-strain after 1 hour of playing. I have the monitor, it's 165hz not 144. With FreeSync there is no ghosting at TraceFree 60. At TraceFree 100 there is a slight purple corona with ufo test but i...

Re: Acer XF252Q - this is my endgame

Hello again, for those curious people i created a short picture to present how does backlight bleeding/clouding looks like in this monitor. I can just tell you how does it look on my unit (but from reviews, i see its pretty common, that left side of the XF252Q is darker, while right side is brighter...

Re: Acer XF252Q - this is my endgame

What i can say is that BenQ has best Black eQualizer - and i've tried them on all monitors. XF252Q has similar feature, right? How does it compare? I would also like to know about this feature, i think it's called "black boost" in the osd settings and allows you to choose values from 1 to 10 which ...

Re: Acer XF252Q - this is my endgame

is this monitor limited to 60hz when used with HDMI? Or can it at least go to 120hz? AFAIK it can do 240hz with hdmi 2.0, I think it comes with only hdmi cable in the box as well. I think it doesn't matter whether you use hdmi or displayport for 240hz but I could be wrong. What i can say is that Be...
